Academy Attire Requirements
Ballet classes– Black leotard with sleeves, pink tights, and ballet shoes. You may wear a small ballet skirt if desired.
Jazz classes-Black leotard, black jazz pants, and black jazz shoes.
Tap classes-Black leotard or Academy t-shirt, black jazz pants and tap shoes. If you are in a combination class, you may wear a black leotard and pink tights with jazz pants and your Academy t-shirt over the top.
American Style Ballroom Classes-Men-Dress slacks with a polo or button up shirt and black ballroom shoes or character shoes with suede on the bottom; Ladies-Practice skirt (around knee length) with shorts underneath or black jazz pants, a nice dance blouse/top or Academy t-shirt, and ballroom shoes or character shoes with suede on the bottom.
International Style Ballroom Classes-Same as American/Social Style, but you must have the appropriate Latin or Standard shoe for the style of class. No character shoes.
Ballroom Team-Men-Black dress slacks or Latin slacks with a polo or button up shirt and either black patent shoes or black Latin shoes depending on which routine you are in. Ladies-Practice skirt with shorts underneath (short if in Latin routine or longer in Standard routine), and tan Latin heels or tan Ballroom pumps depending on which routine you are in.
MDT Classes or Company-Dance attire for choreography. Men-Dance pants like Latin, jazz, or slacks/trouser if you don’t have actual dance pants (NO jeans) and dance shirt or Academy t-shirt. Ladies-Dance pants like jazz or otherwise, a dance skirt with leotard or shorts underneath, and dance shirt or Academy t-shirt. Teen must have black characters shoes with suede on the bottoms. Children must have black jazz shoes.
Voice or Acting Classes– Academy t-shirts with jeans, jazz pants or warm-ups, and acceptable school attire.
